A course period always runs until the next school holiday. Regular drawing classes last 60 minutes. The 9+ classes last 90 minutes.
Joining one of the regular drawing groups costs €10 per lesson, multiplied by the number of lessons in that course period.
Joining one of the 9+ groups costs €13.50 per lesson, multiplied by the number of lessons in that course period, plus €10 for a sketchbook. Children who have attended before can simply continue using their existing sketchbook.
TRIAL LESSONS
Would you like to join, but you’re not quite sure yet? You can start with two trial lessons.
After the second lesson, please let me know whether you would like to continue.
Trial lessons are not free; they cost the same as regular lessons. The advantage is that you don’t have to commit to a full course period straight away, so your child has the chance to try the classes first.
If you decide not to continue, you only pay for the two lessons attended. If you would like to continue, I’ll be happy to see you again the following week and you can then pay for the full course period.
HOW CAN I PAY?
You can pay via the payment page on this website.
If your child joins partway through a course period, I will send you a Tikkie payment request for the correct amount.
MISSED A LESSON?
Unfortunately, there is no refund for missed lessons, as a place in the group has been reserved for your child.
However, we can check whether there is space in another class during the same week, so your child can make up the missed lesson on a different day or at a different time.
Please note that this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. If there is no space available, unfortunately the lesson cannot be made up.
WHATSAPP / CONTACT
I use a WhatsApp broadcast group to keep parents informed about important news and updates. For example, I may use it to let you know if a lesson is cancelled due to extreme weather or illness.
I also use WhatsApp to share information about special activities, so families whose children already attend Kunstmug are the first to hear about them.
Parents cannot reply in the group, which keeps it nice and quiet.
You are, of course, always welcome to send me a personal WhatsApp message on 06-22669896. I prefer messages rather than phone calls, as I cannot answer the phone while I am teaching.
BRINGING A FRIEND?
Would your child like to bring a friend to drawing class? Of course!
Please send me a message beforehand so I can check whether there is a space available.
The lesson costs €10 for the friend as well, or €13.50 for a 9+ class.
JOINING PARTWAY THROUGH A COURSE PERIOD
If there are spaces available in a group, your child can join at any time during a course period. You only pay for the remaining lessons in that period.
Each lesson has its own theme, so joining partway through is no problem at all.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
There are no regular classes during school holidays.
Kunstmug sometimes organises special workshops and creative activities during the holidays, which you can book separately.
OCCASIONAL LESSONS
It may sometimes be possible to attend an individual lesson rather than joining for a full course period.
Please contact me beforehand to check whether there is space in the class you would like to attend. Children who attend every week have priority, so if the group is full, unfortunately no extra places are available.
CLOTHING & PERSONAL BELONGINGS
If your child would like to bring something from home, that is absolutely fine. Please make sure they remember to take it home again afterwards.
Kunstmug cannot be held responsible for personal belongings that are lost or damaged. Damage to clothing or other personal items is also at your own risk.
So please don’t wear your very best clothes to drawing class!
SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES ON A LOWER INCOME
Families on a lower income may be eligible for financial support through Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Haarlem.
An intermediary, such as a teacher at your child’s school, can apply for funding on your behalf. More information about how this works can be found on the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur website.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Having clear rules and conditions helps everyone know what to expect and prevents misunderstandings.
You can read Kunstmug’s Terms & Conditions on this website.
